To share: My take on religion is that element “outside” of ourselves – pulpit, bible, preacher, congregation, etc. And spirituality is that element “inside” of ourselves, -me (you) and God. I found that by practicing spirituality by going within and meeting God, naked and unafraid, on a daily basis, I bring to the “outside” those elements of the underlining truths in all sacred texts that are hidden among words of misconceptions and excess verbiage. After many years of exploring a lot of religions, I found them to be a restrictive way of handing down rules and regulations based on an individual’s opinion of believe, including the negative. Spirituality, on the other hand, is a free way of expressing God’s (Guidance’s) love without restrictions and negativity. Since there is no negativity in loving God, one walks toward the state of Grace while giving out those elements of compassion and love. The other side of the coin is that religion is a way of providing the unsecured a way of “touching” that which is unseen. Spirituality takes a certain courage to believe beyond doubt and seek a personal audience within. Just my two cents.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
